SOLA3 works to effectively communicate to the media and the public our concerns and progress on the “state of the lakes,” SOLA3 has been chosen among Delaware’s top 50 "eco-activists" by Delaware Today magazine. Delaware Beach Life featured SOLA3 for its “Organization Spotlight…Fighting for Great Lakes” article, as well as an article on SOLA3's 2019 workshop "Testing the Waters: Fifth graders get their feet wet as environmental researchers, thanks to SOLA3 program." WBOC-TV has covered our activities and the Cape Gazette regularly reports on our activities and positions.
Governor's Award
In 2008 SOLA3 was the only environmental organization to receive the 2008 Delaware Governor's Award for Outstanding Volunteer Service.
Sallie Forman, was selected to receive the 2012 Governor’s Outstanding Volunteer Leadership Award as founder and president of SOLA3.
Conservation Award
SOLA3's Conservation Award was created in 2009 to recognize individuals, civic organizations, governments and governmental agencies that have been exemplary in enhancing the overall environmental and ecological health of Lake Gerar, Silver Lake and Lake Comegys.
